Alright, I cheated, the last one is a comm. It is a FANTASTIC comm where the two main expressions of my geekery are united forever in one big geeky mess.
Today's writers block question is about words to live by or something. I find that 'Fuck, fuck, exclamation mark, me' from Roddy Doyle's The Commitments pretty much covers all bases.

1. Where is your cell phone? Umm. Pass. I think it may be in my room.
2. Your significant other? My SO = my phd. NO IT IS NOT LAME
3. Your hair? Just got it cut on Friday so fairly okayish. For, you know. A frizzy ball of death.
4. Your mother? Brilliant. We don't have much in common but she is ace.
5. Your father? WHO KNOWS. He hasn't spoken to me for like two weeks. I have no idea why. He does these things, he's a bit of a tosser (we have lots in common, alas).
6. Your favorite thing? books?
7. Your dream last night? don't remember one.
8. Your favorite drink? hot chocolate
9. Your dream/goal? to be a lecturer/researcher type person.
10. What room you are in? the spare one?
11. Your hobby? writing
12. Your fear? spiders. sorry to be such a girly cliche but egads they are VILE.

eta2: Actually, instead of amusing me, you could help me out with this. I need some vaguely cliched story opening lines for a fic. So, stuff like 'it was a dark and stormy night', or 'long ago in a galaxy far away'. My brain does not have its cliche head on tonight and I am totally stumped.
