Aaaah, okay, these are all great. I do love me some tropes.

Snowed in: I think I would have to go EMH-verse for this one, because I actually ship Clint/Steve pretty hard in that verse *shrugs* I'm thinking they're scouting for information somewhere in Europe when a blizzard hits and they take refuge in a little cabin somewhere (of course!) and Clint is unexpectedly the one who is actually useful and he makes smartass comments and gets a fire going and kind of privately eyerolls/victory dances at being Better Than Captain America at something, except then he suddenly realises why Steve might be a bit freaked out at being trapped somewhere cold with white starting to creep up over the windows, and so he spends the rest of the night and morning until they can get out doing his level best to distract Steve with terrible jokes and ridiculous anecdotes (which Steve has a horrible feeling are all true) and from that day on they're closer in a way that makes everyone else on the team exchange curious looks.

Next-door neighbour AU: Ahh, okay, so I know it says AU, but I think if I was going to go for a neighbours vibe for them, I would probably have it in canon, with them adjusting to living in the tower post-movie. Because I imagine that there's a lot of tension between them, Bruce because of how things began, and then how they continued, and Natasha because I imagine she has some difficulty reconciling Bruce and Hulk, like I think she could deal fine with either one, but it's the dissonance of both of them. And so at first everything is tense (well, as tense as it gets with two such self-contained people), but they gradually find all these things they have in common - they like the same tea, they do the same yoga, they have a weakness for the same terrible TV shows they would never admit to another soul. And so gradually they become really good friends and probably have accidental sleepovers and the rest of the team (okay, mainly Clint and Tony) are just DYING to ask why the hell they're always appearing from each other's rooms early in the morning but Bruce mutters about feeling angry and Natasha gives Clint the look, and then she and Bruce smirk at each other over their organic museli, and everybody else quietly fears for their lives. And then they kiss. Probably.

Be careful what you wish for: Oooh, yes yes yes. This one is just screeeeaming out for some kind of Freaky Friday type thing where they're in the middle of a battle and they actually manage to derail it with their bickering and "You have NO IDEA how much I contribute to this team" "Oh you're one to talk! All you do is - " "I hate you so much right now!" ""I WISH YOU KNEW WHAT IT WAS LIKE"" so Villain Of The Day (necessarily Loki, Amora, Doom or someone else with magical abilities) gets frustrated at their limelight being stolen and BAM bodyswap, and they have a very sudden, very immediate lesson in what it's like to be each other. They manage to survive the battle, because both the Iron Man armour and Steve's body pretty much run themselves these days, but then they have to deal with the day-to-day until they can get it fixed. I think the thing that would surprise them both most is how other people react to them. And then they kiss. Pretty definitely. Oh, and swap back at some point, oops. *handwave*

Snowed-In: this is pretty much exactly what I picture when I picture them in this type of situation (and come on, that scene in EMH when Clint is going to shoot the apple in the obstacle course and Cap is all 'I haven't seen you miss yet, I don't expect you to start now' - they're totally going at it in the showers).

Next-Door Neighbors: I can actually really see them like this. They would have SO MANY sleepovers. Their shared smirks would be terrifying. And kissing would be awesome.

Careful What You Wish For: That's why I had to suggest that pairing. Either they're fighting and BAM! magic fix, or they're lovers and magic mess-up. The kiss should be the trigger for how they change back, like they've learned to appreciate each other and come to care for each other and can express that in such a pure way.....

Road trip: Hmmm okay this one was trickier! It's not that I couldn't ship them together, it's just that I ship Tony/Pepper and Thor/Jane pretty hard. SO! Platonic roadtrip to see their fabulous ladies? I think so! They're driving from coast to coast, and Tony is just endlessly amused by Thor's everything so he takes him to all the oddest, most random tourist attractions he can think of (largest ball of twine, and absolutely, definitely, COMPLETELY the Jolly Green Giant statue, at which they laugh until they cry). They inevitably get photographed, and end up the talk of the tabloids as they continue to blaze a trail across the states, and when they finally get to where Jane and Pepper are waiting, the expressions of fond exasperation match so well that they're both a little disturbed.

Curtain/domestic: Whee, okay, as requested, here is an additional snippet from the fic. (I don't think you've seen this bit yet.)

[necessary background because I have still not mastered the art of writing things in order, damn it!: So they decide to move in together and Clint is wildly enthusiastic and Phil is...not not enthusiastic, but manages to miss the cues a little so while Clint is thinking I AM GONNA HAVE AN ACTUAL HOME WITH AN ACTUAL PARTNER WHO ACTUALLY LOVES ME OH GOD I HAVE A SECRET WHITE-PICKET-FENCE FETISH, Phil is thinking 'ughhhh moving house suuuuuucks, security deposit ugh ughughhhhh' so obviously Clint picks up on that and tries to hold back a little, only then Phil catches him out and finds out he's been buying furniture from thrift shops and upcycling it and generally being adorable and excited about the whole thing]

And Phil pictures it, really pictures it, a cosy kitchen on a Saturday morning, catching Clint singing along to the radio while he makes pancakes. Sitting at this weathered table and knowing Clint's hands have been over every inch of it. A place to think of as our home.

He knocks the paintbrush out of Clint's hand and pulls him into a kiss, his head filling with the scents of varnish and sweat and wood. Clint's mouth opens easily, maybe a little in surprise, but he presses his hands to the small of Phil's back and urges him in closer. Clint's mouth is hot, his tongue clever as always, but Phil can feel his lips determinedly curling into a smile the whole time. It's tempting to keep kissing, to sink into the warmth and comfort of Clint's hard muscles and soft mouth, but Phil eventually pulls away.

They part with a couple of soft pecks and Clint blinks at him and clears his throat, his fingers lingering briefly around Phil's. "What happened to no PDA at work, Sir?"

"Extenuating circumstances," Phil claims, only blushing a very little.

Clint's smile is more than worth it.

Road Trip: I basically wanted an excuse to have Thor's hair whipping in the wind. A bro-trip sounds awesome. I ship them, but I can see them making really good friends (it's good for Tony to have someone as indestructible and good natured as Thor around that enjoys his shenanigans). There should be a cut scene in which Jane and Pepper discuss boyfriend wrangling tips/techniques.

Curtain/Domestic: THANK YOU! This bit is completely new to me.

so while Clint is thinking I AM GONNA HAVE AN ACTUAL HOME WITH AN ACTUAL PARTNER WHO ACTUALLY LOVES ME OH GOD I HAVE A SECRET WHITE-PICKET-FENCE FETISH - I sort of want to roll around with this line, because it's so Clint, and because I get it (and oh, my god, Clint upcycling - yes yes yes).

I just love so much how in love they can be.
