Guys. Oh, guys. I am woefully worried about the state of politics. I know, left field. But. Oh man. I would like to direct your attention to this article, about the BNP and just say, people on my flist, if you are eligible to vote in the upcoming elections, then do it. European funding + Far Right type parties = bad news, right? Precedent and stuff.
And I know that the MPs funding thing is sickening and I won't be voting for either of the main parties (and probably not Lib Dem either - my thinking runs thus: I don't think I could ever physically bring myself to vote Tory --> I won't vote for this version of Labour --> Lib Dems = pretty much a wasted vote in my area, so you might as well waste it on something you believe it --> Green Party) but I think there will be a split - some people will go to the extremist parties and some people are going to just stay away, just be sick of the whole process, which I totally get but the long term possibilities are really quite frightening to me.
