Wow! Great fic! You've really pegged Gwaine, with his secret caring, and the way he studies other people. He's such an enigmatic character--lots of depth. I love the way you write in his POV so that we get to see his observations of Arthur--the way he's almost sure he knows what's driving him, but still wary of overstepping and scaring Arthur off. It's easy to imagine their relationship either leading to long term love and trust, or going deep south! hahaha! You did a fabulous job of showing the complexities in such a short fic. Pretty amazing, really.

And ooooh.... I hope an Arthur/Gwaine com pops up. There's plenty of life in their pairing. Lots of possibilities......
